Eddie Murphy — Rooster Cay, Bahamas Being one of the world’s best-known comedians tends to bring in a lot of cash, roughly $15 million of which Eddie Murphy spent on the 15-acre Rooster Cay in 2007.
Johnny Depp — Little Halls Pond Cay, Bahamas Having gotten rich off of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, it’s only appropriate that Johnny Depp would own a nice little piece of the region he spent so long filming in. After the first movie he purchased Little Halls Pond Cay for $3.6 million. We can only hope he travels the local waters on a yacht called The Black Pearl.
Leonardo DiCaprio — Blackadore Cay, Belize A narrow 104-acre paradise just off the coast of Belize, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Blackadore Cay cost him $1.75 million in 2005. Rather than keep it all to himself, though, the environmentally conscious actor has plans to develop an eco-friendly resort on the island, complete with tours of the nearby Barrier Reef.
Michael Schumacher — Antarctica, “The World,” Dubai Dubai is a city on the rise, and Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher owns a piece of it. “The World” is a massive artificial archipelago off the city’s coast, featuring small islands that form a world map. Schumacher owns part of the Antarctica section, though the place isn’t likely to see snow anytime soon.
