Tata eMO EV Concept at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show

Tata eMO EV Concept at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show

The eMO is an intelligent design with the front glass windscreenflowing all the way to the front passenger seat headrest making it a see through top. Wit easily foldable rear seats, the space created at the rear for luggage is very good. The rear doors are very small and are just enough to allow one person to fit through. Very well done as far as the design goes, flowing and just right. Clean roomy interiors are a delight to step into.
The eMO concept has no plans of being mass produce. However, Warren Harris, Tata Technologies President and Global COO states, “We developed it strictly as an engineering study with no particular automaker in mind. If there are auto companies interested in exploring the potential of the eMO, we would, of course, welcome thatopportunity.”

The eMO (Electric MObility) conceptfeatures a liquid-cooled, dual-motor, front-wheel-drivetrain coupled with an air-cooled 18.4 kW high-energy/density battery. It is capable of reaching 161 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 105 km/h.
The suspension incorporates an independent front lower A arm and MacPherson struts. The rear suspension has a semi-trailing link with separate mounting shock absorbers and springs. Front disc and reardrum brakes are antilock with electronic stability control. Steering is provided by an electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion system.

WILD AMPHIBIAN CAR

The Aquada is a revolutionary showcase of High Speed Amphibian (HSA) technology. This radical new breed of vehicle has been precision engineered to the most exacting standards. It has undergone an extensive safety testing programme and complies with appropriate marine and road safety regulations.

Entry to the water is via beach, boat ramp, slipway or directly from the water’s edge. Once afloat, the transition from road vehicle to High Speed Amphibian (HSA) is effortlessly achieved. Simply press a button and drive into the water. The wheels automatically rise and as you press the accelerator nearly a ton of thrust pushes the Aquada onto the plane. The whole process takes less than 12 seconds. The Aquada can plane at over 30mph.
Powerful enough to tow a water-skier and with a style and class of its own, the Gibbs Aquada is the perfect leisure vehicle. It combines the thrill of an open top car with the sheer exhilaration experienced in a high performance speedboat. The Aquada is the new name for freedom!
Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson broke the record for the fastest crossing of the English Channel by an amphibious vehicle in a Gibbs Aquada. Branson beat the previous record by more than four hours.
That Branson fellow is unbelievable! I wonder if he knows about the Futuristic Electric Car in THIS POST? Surely, he’d have to trade his electric car in for this cooler model.

TRUCK BUILT FOR THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

Conquest Vehicle Inc’s flagship vehicle, the KNIGHT XV defines the future of the ultra-luxurious, handcrafted fully armored SUV. This one-of-a-kind, V10, 6.8-litre, Bio-fuel powered SUV was inspired by military vehicle designs and features security appointments that are unrivaled in today’s SUV marketplace. The production of the KNIGHT XV will be limited to 100 vehicles. Are you ready to be Knighted?
Standard and additional features included in the KNIGT XV’s armoring package:
Transparent armor: The ballistic glass used in the KNIGHT XV is manufactured only by the leading manufacturers of ballistic transparencies. Our team of designers and engineers work closely with the manufacturers of ballistic transparencies to ensure that the glass module meets the protection and tint level required. In addition, we ensure that the glass meets the requirements of our overlap armoring technique when it is combined with the installation of the opaque armor.
Opaque armor: Only the highest quality high strength steel, ballistic aluminium, composites, aramid and ceramics are used in the manufacturing of the KNIGHT XV’s opaque armor, to meet or exceed established norms.
Doors: Due to the added weight of the transparent and opaque armor in doors, the door hinges are reinforced using a proprietary system to completely avoid hinge failure and prevent sheet metal fatigue around the hinge system.
All of the armoring materials used on our KNIGHT XV vehicle have been certified by H.P. White Laboratory, Inc. (a highly regarded US independent ballistics testing laboratory).
