Halong Bay is located in Quáng Ninh Province in Vietnam and occupies an area larger than 1,500 square kilometers. The 120 km long coastline encloses many impressive formations, the result of long-term corrosion, among which are 1969 and islets of various shapes and sizes. Several of them inhabited by families of fishermen, as the waters of the bay is rich in fish and several species of molluscs.Most of the islands but they are hollow, forming an impressive underground lakes inside. The most striking example is perhaps the Dau Be Island, which includes six large lakes.The outstanding natural beauty area has kyrifchthei protected and acts as a natural marine park that attracts thousands of tourists.
