The Valley of the pitchers (The valley of jugs) is an archaeological site located in the province Xianhuang of Laos . The valley at the foothills of the Sierra Annamite so named because inside there are thousands of large stone jars.The length of each one of them ranging from 0.5 to 3 meters and weight in some reaches 6 tons. The age is determined roughly from 1500 to 2000 years. Archaeologists believe that the jars were built by the ancient inhabitants of Southeast Asia, whose culture remains even today remains a mystery. theorize that strange jars or used as funerary containers or as reservoirs for water storage.
