The Bajau community is a group of indigenous people living in the southern Philippines. Sometimes they are called "sea gypsies" because of their nautical skills and frequent changes of residence. The last years have left the sea nomadic life and settled in this region of the Philippines. The quaint and beautiful village consists Bajau homes through the water on wooden pilings brackets connected by makeshift wooden bridges.The Bajau have retained most of the habits of their culture and not integrated into the modern lifestyle. Their main occupation is fishing with those boats, which manufactured the same way for hundreds of years.
